Chapelwick for young families. While catering to the needs of the parents, we offer a great place for kids.
A friendly, safe environment where they can play, kick a ball, ride their bike, swim, climb trees and what they love the most interact with our friendly farmyard animals. Cardeaux our 'please be my friend Goat', our sheep that love to be patted and at the right time of year our new lambs, say hello to Babe the pig and Chester and Ralph the Alpacas and help collect the eggs and feed the cooks.
Parents have commented how great it is for the children to have an early dinner, put to bed and then be able to have a leisurely meal together, knowing the children are safety tucked up in bed. A home away from home - without the dishes.
Polo - The Sport of Kings
Witchwood Polo is owned by Brett & Sammy Hamer and based in Wanstead which is five minutes from the Wanstead Polo Club.
The Polo season runs from November through to the end of March. They offer polo tuition at the farm where they have an indoor sand arena and polo field. Lessons are given by Brett or another qualified instructor and depending on your riding capabilities you are taught to ride, the rules of the game, stick and ball skills and at the end the grand finale a slow game of polo!
The ponies are also available to be taken around the farm or down to the beach where we usually finish up with lunch at the local pub 'The Duke of Edinburgh'.
On Thursday evenings it is Business House Polo, where you get a chance to play a game of polo with both learners and experienced players.
